I'm sorry, but...
1.) Are you a mod? I think not.
2.) Nt does have to do with them somewhat. Please, learn what spiritual means.

I went off on a tangent im sorry about that. I completely went off didnt i ?
I dont want to sound like im generalizing or stereotyping
What I was trying to do with out being too critical about one religion was point out one of two flaws here and there.
In doing so I should have also stated.. these books (call them what you will..ill say bible for this instance ) were "written" by say a person right?
every person by default is imperfect in 1 way or form..
is this fair to say? for me it is because I dont belive that 1 person on this planet is the epitome of perfection..
so with that mindset anything a human creates is flawed.
take cars.. sure they get you from point A to point B in half the time of walking..lol.. but what about that one car that explodes for some reason or another...
To me religion is just like that in a matter of words. Flawed humans leading others "kinda"

and to quote the infamous Forest Gump
"That's all I have to say about that."

Back in the 90's, many NSW schools had banned Pokemon - mainly because it was doing harm (causing fights over rip off trades, distractions in class, etc.).

In short - schools have a say in how kids spend their education. If the parents don't like it, they can send their kids elsewhere (but, generally, the parents that send them to those schools for "protection" are likely to have banned Pokemon/Harry Potter/whatever to begin with).

I can, however, say - as a Pastor's kid - that this doesn't represent the views of the entire Christian community in Australia (or the rest of the world). Heck, I just got back from the new Harry Potter movie - with my dad.

EDIT: As for the remark that the "directive went too far" - that's partially right. However, for Christians, they should be consulting with their Church's Pastor and Bible. Generally, it's okay as fiction, so long as they aren't trying to do witchcraft (or messing around with Ouija boards and what not) and other condemned practices.
Thank you. You said everything I wanted to say, and a lot more eloquently.

I will say this, though: I find it hysterical that some people throw these big ol' fits over Harry Potter but don't give two hoots over other fantasy. xD

I'm sorry, but the correct spelling is "Jesus."

EDIT: That's weird. I pressed the "Quote" button for brandon_g, but it didn't work.

Banning Harry Potter, I can understand. People are gonna hate on Pokemon, obviously. But Power Rangers? Very strange.

I agree. HP, however drenched in awesomesauce, has been in the news for this kind of **** for a decade or more. Power Rangers? I loved it when I was 3, but the only thing it was guilty of was shite graphics. Next they're gonna ban all the other awesome stuff. Manga, Music, and Vampires are next, you wait and see. This'll be when I go all crippleninja.

They banned guns and what not. I guess PR falls into the "violence" category.
