KOed a shiny :(

I was training my mankey before i challenged the cerulean gym (i have just recently started over my game for poops and giggles) and i came across a shiny ekans!!! my first shiny!! i was soooo nervous. I had 3 pokeballs left. I used scratch...and the worst words i could read came across the screen..."CRITICAL HIT" ahh!! have anny of you done this? lol

I found a Shiny Phanpy in my Silver version once.

...In that part so early in the game that Professor Elm hasn't given you any Pokeballs yet...

In Heart Gold In the safari zone I encountered a shiny Girafarig!!!! Then I threw the safari ball the ball did not even shake and Girafarig popped out then it fled....

THIS IS WHY I DON'T GO TO THE SAFARI ZONE!

I always fear I'll find the shiny as the first pokemon when I don't have any balls or some legend that I allready couldn't catch the last 10 attempts (Yeah, cuz it has to struggle after being at 1 hp and paralyzed and have had 40 ultra balls and 10 timer balls at it)

My first shiny I ever encountered was a Caterpie.

The bad news is that I killed it and spent the next 5 minutes thinking to myself, "Why the hell did I just do that?!"

Two instances actually.. has a shiny smeargle run away in the safari zone, and critical hit a shiny tentacruel on accident with fire blast

Back when I didn't know what shinies where, I KOed a Shiny Lunatone. Then I came across another normal one and I'm like "what the heck, didn't the last one have a different coloured eye?" So i googled it. Figured it was rare, so I said "aww crap."

But got a shiny Bibarel, Medicham and Starly... used to have a Shiny Zigzagoon.

Oh darn it, now I learned a lesson that you should take many Pokeballs with you and also have plenty of Pokemon which has Hypnosis attacks(^^)

that has happened to me. i was mocked by a shiny. i was starting pokemon emerald and after i chose mudkip and had to save the professor the zigzagoon was shiny and u don't have any pokeballs at that time so i had to kill it but i later on found a shiny ralts so i don't care of the zigzagoon any more.

I have the worst luck of anyone finding shinies. WORST.

Ok, I've run through every game, most of them on more than one cart, every version, so I play A LOT. And for some reason I have pokerus on ever cart except one -- but shinies? Pfft.

First one I saw in the wild was on Silver and it was a ponyta. I was talking to someone, and not paying attention, just thrashing around levelling on Mt. Silver -- and Bang! I hit it hard right at the same time I realized what it was. Mad. Oh yeah.

In that game I did later catch my first shiny -- a tentacool. wow.

YEARS later in emerald I caught my second "wild" shiny. This hurts to even say it...

a... magicarp. Yes.

And a couple months later one of my cousins was messing with the cart and evolved it. GAAAUGH!

Then I had a... wild-caught red gyarados. yay.

I have all of the event shinies I can find. I have a shiny floatzel that I saw caught by one friend, and a shiny espeon that another buddy hatched. They were both pity gifts.

In FireRed I was randomly fishing on Route 12, and encountered a Shiny Horsea. I caught it, evolved it into Seadra, then my stupid sister started over my game. T.T I have never been lucky enough to encounter another in any of my Pokemon games. T.T
