Well this is it, the new series is out!
And the theme is pretty epic, 3-D effects and awesomeness.
Its sung by Rica Matsumoto, and I think the song is called best wishes...I may be wrong!

I think the opening isn't that bad. When I first saw it, I didn't know what to feel. Watching it again, I just realized it's different. The music makes up for it though being pretty well. Not to mention, we haven't had Rica sing an opening for a while now. So, I give credit to the animators going for something new, seeing as that's what they're reaching out for this series - new, yet back to basics.

That's a cool opening, very original, considering it has no animé footage in it & I love how all the Pokémon are all bright and colourful, but the background stays black and white.

I wonder if the silhouetted Pokémon will get coloured and edited in as they appear in the episodes?

Yes, the silhouettes will be filled once they make their first appearance in the anime.
