So a couple of us had the great idea to try something fun and new!

Voice Acting!

How It Works

The idea is simple. Take a scene from a fan fiction (or whatever you want) and then voice it out and post it here!

This is all supposed to be very casual and fun, so don't worry about making it perfect. Just do what you enjoy!

We don't have a script or a list of actors or assigned parts. Heck, multiple people can do the same scene if they feel like it. We just think it might be cool to hear the voices of characters that we've read!

You don't have to coordinate with other members if you don't want to. Feel free to voice an entire scene yourself.

Here are some useful programs and sites:

Audacity - A free audio recording and editing program.
MP3 Encoder for Audacity - Allows you to export your sound file as an MP3.
Tindeck - You can host audio files on here.
Listen to Youtube - You can download MP3 versions of a youtube video (to get instrumental version of songs).

Voice Index

If you're interested, you can head over to the Voice Index thread and create a profile about yourself. There you can keep track of various projects you have completed or are working on. Similarly, you can search for other members and their profiles in the thread to see what they're up to.

That was cool, I don't read Fanfics because I don't really like reading, but I'd definitely listen to one. (:

That was really good. Maybe after I get a few more chapters up, I'll get together with a few friends and voice act a scene or two in my fan fic. I'm sure some people on here are wondering how I hear Surge when I write as him compared to how they hear him.

Hey, you can do URPG stories too! They would work just as well. We just choose this fan fiction because it was a fun little scene!

That was really awesome! (And I'm flattered that you'd use lines from my story). I really liked the voices. I really wish I didn't suck at voice acting, but maybe I'll try it anyway. xD

(By the way, for anyone who's read my story (or at least has enough knowledge of the character) I'm looking for a voice actor for Cyclone for an animation I'm making. Xanthe might have found someone who can do it already, but I'm putting this here just in case.)

I made a podcast for my fic once, but I never uploaded it.

Ooh, voice acting! 8D I aspire to be one, actually. xDD

If anyone wants a voice actor for one of their scenes, I'm up for grabs. xD And yeah, Scy, I do have someone, but if anyone else here wants to do it and it's more convenient, then that'd be better. Especially since the dude I have hasn't read PoD. Dx

I think I'd like to submit something from TtEaoF. I'd wanna do Dusty's voice, though, I think. xDD

I'd love to do one for my fic (hard descision on which chapter, though :P), but I wouldn't know who I could get to do the voices for Zack or the Ursaring (possibly). I'd have to do Jade, since I'm a girl and have a female voice (:P), but I don't know anyone who could do the other one/two.

Anyway, most likely I won't be able to do one, but oh well.

OKAY. I've got a scene I wanna do. :D It's with only Dusty and Zhol, so I need another female. Preferably someone who can speak calmly, kinda deeply, and steady--but still with emotion, of course. They'll be playing Zhol, and I'll do Dusty. ^^ Any accent is fine, but Dusty will be in Australian, since I can't imagine her any other way. xD

Can someone post here or PM me if they're interested? o: The script's only short, so it should be easy. But this is one of the scenes that doesn't give away too many spoilers for those who haven't read my story.

EDIT: Okay, I've extended the scene so that I need a third character, who also needs to be female. xDD But since she's a minor character, she can be male if worst comes to worst (xDD). This character is agitated and odd, and the voice needs to be focused and detached.

So, all up, I need two females to do the roles of a side bidoof character, and Zhol. Thanks. ;3

ALSO, THIS IS MY 3,000TH POST AND THAT'S SUPER DUPER EXCITEMENT.

Yeah, I'm definitely up for this. Seems like a fun way to spend my free time, honestly. And I get to act!

Also, I talk to Shen on AIM constantly, and hearing his actual voice = mind blown. Now I'll read all his IMs in that voice.

I may be able to do that. I don't really know exactly how we'd manage it, though. xD

That would be awesome if he could do the lines for me. I'm going to need them before I start animating Cyclone. =D
