Well, I pretty much took a screenshot of every little step I made. The only way I see it not working is if you have a firewall blocking it.

HiF ... I tried to redownload the AIM, but it's failed ...

It shows a blank screen ... any ideas why did this happen?

Everytthing is thge same/similar based on your AIM client. I suggest using your Mac's iChat.

I seem to have missed this, but better late then never.

The only reason why it would be blank was if you're using a strange client to open it, or you already have some kind of dominant program blocking the pop up.

I used to have AOL and isn't AIM its IM? Well, I was wondering, if I download AIM, will it install AOL's browser or whatever on my computer?

yeah...one problem...like how do i get the chatroom to open (AOL is my actual browser....)? and it wont invite people into my chatroom....

Log in to aim from there, and that's basically it. NO, the website will not steal passwords/user name and does not store it on their website. There s also an official browser-based aim called "aim express". > http://www.aim.com/aimexpress.adp

But, i recommend meebo. It's much more user-friendly for the not so tech-savvy/ people who don't have time to learn all the functions of aim.

My first time seeing this thread, but i think the Web-browser AIM like meebo.com should go on the 1st post as an extremely easier alternative to installing AIM.

Actually, no, it shouldn't. This thread is about installing AIM...Not finding different ways to log onto AIM...It's also not extremely easier then AIM. lol

There are key things about Meebo that make it awesome, but also key things that make it suck...

The real AIM is the best thing and that's that. But if you don't want to download anything, or it lags your computer, then Meebo is a nice alternative.

I hate those types of people who can't do simple things. I understand in the installation you MIGHT get something wrong (but it is so easy lol), but once you're in AIM it is pretty easy...I mean just look through all the tabs and such and you would now how it works. Don't be lazy. Find things out for yourself by clicking all those things and stuff to find out how to do things. [Maybe you guys wouldn't look stupid if you did. ]

I downloaded it and managed to get a new username, but once I try to go online with the software it says "connection lost". How come?
