Pokemon Select Issue...

Pokemon Emerald.

Okay. Hopefully this goes away by itself, or maybe someone here will know what went wrong.

First off. I'm playing on a DS.

I turned my game on today and went into the pokemon selection menu, trying to fly somewhere and the cursor went berserk. I could freeze it for a second but it'd go right back to cycling through the pokemon by itself pretty much right away. The other menus were unaffected.

I turned the DS off and back on again and the problem persisted. I flew to a new city this time and checked to see if it still wasn't cooperating. It wasn't. So I saved the game after removing Linoone's item and turned the DS off.

Then I came here through a google link I clicked on trying to find out the cause and solution to this problem. I figured I could ask you guys since I'm already registered here. It's been a while.

Is my game dead? I don't really tolerate glitches like this unless I have no choice. It is not a pirated copy. It is used. Pearl version is in the other slot and I haven't checked to see if the problem is there too, but I doubt it is. I haven't tried to start a test new game either. Any ideas?
