Sadly, part of me really wants the game for myself.

I kinda do, too. Unfortunately, it's pretty obviously a made-up story, what with the convenient "I lost the game and there were few copies made!" excuse.
I just lost the game typing that post, ffff

Of course. Even then, I'd like for it to be, hell, created. It's possible to create a bootleg like this, ahaha.

Might be easy enough to make the whole GHOST and CURSE thing, but the final leg sounds like it'd be pretty hard if not near-impossible to code into the game.
Of course, I'm not a programmer, but...

Well, it could be programmed as a static thing, say, one in which you can't really press anything for.

It'd be like a cutscene, similar to the intro, per se.

Huh, that might actually work. Clearly, some programmer with too much time on their hands needs to get on this now.

Eh, reading Stephen King and these stories probably wasn't such a good idea before bed.

That is not true. With headphones the original gameboy (DMG-001) does output in stereo. The speaker is in mono, but the output through the jack is most definitely stereo.

You know, I actually saw a copy of that supposed "Pokemon Black" cartridge on eBay a couple of years ago. I just ignored anything that looked like a bootleg completely then, but if it was actually programmed that way I kind of wish I got it.

Anyway, both Bulbapedia and Glitch City Laboratories have noted the fact that the original Lavender Town music made use of higher tones, which can typically be heard by children, but not most other groups and could cause nausea/headaches/dizziness.

I have to admit, I'm curious, but even though I'm almost 16, I'm a girl (women can detect higher frequencies than men, usually) and I've always had very sensitive hearing to the point that I seem to pick up on sounds the majority of other people don't, so I'm unsure whether to take a listen...I'll tell you if I hear anything different about it.

It may be fake, but it's still messed up. I was always mad at my family, because they always made me play my gameboy with the volume all the way down. I guess now I'm a little bit relieved that they did that lol. BTW, has anyone else noticed that the new pokemon games don't have the whole "walk in grass, prof. saves you" type sequence? (Save for d/p/pl, but that's like a cut scene when you enter the grass) Maybe it is real? or maybe the developers realized that maybe people did encounter something in the grass and it ruined their game (broken pokemon game=suicide)... who knows... point is: Lavender town is creepy and Oak is a life saver (even though he may be late sometimes...)

The Lavender Town music has always been one of my few favourites, maybe it's just that it's sort of calming music but I've always liked it.

That story was pretty good too, something that Stephen King should write about.

As for that game hack, I think it would be rather boring to just curse everything to death, although I like the continuous loop idea of everything you did curse at the end.

If anyone thinks the actual music is creepy, listen to it in reverse.
