Hey, this is my first banner, and I have no idea how to use gimp for banners, so this might be bad but go easy on it k?

Those are my renders btw.
Yes, there is a C4D in there.

It's not bad at all for a first banner. Obviously, you want to learn to add stuff like light sources, c4d's, brushes, ect. I would try looking for some tutorials on Gimp-Talk or Gimp-Tutorials to up your skills. You could also look for a mentor in the area of graphic arts, be it here or on another site.

Oh, and did you render the images yourself? Nice job, if you did. ^_^

I like your tag but theres some problems. Imo, there's not really much of a flow, It kinda goes to the right but the arrows are conflicting and theres just not much that totally goes that way except her (his?xD) hair.

Also, for me the light source in the bottom left is sort of distracting and it doesn't seem to affect the rest of the tag much.

Well, it's nice to hear some criticism. Lol. ^_^ Yeah, my light source is really wacky. It was my first time using them. O.o

Since when did you start using graphix?! When did I miss this? Hehe. Anyway, it's not bad. I like the render, and the c4d goes with it, even if the shade is slightly off. However, I would suggest adding a border, cause' I'm a stickler for em'. Lol.

Also, the left side seems kind of boring. It's not completely bare, as the stars and the extra glow on some of them help. I would say to add something there, perhaps. Oh, and the text is hard to read.

Ohyea, I did those, I'm really good at rendering, and that's my only skill so far :)

Yeah. I can do it as well, but I use an unorthodox method. Most people think it's a hassle, but it works for me.

I don't know who to critique, so I guess I don't.

The Wand Tool.

Eh. It doesn't look so good, it doesn't have enough effects. Try some more C4D's, or Fractals, or even Grunge. Also try to stay within the size limit.

It was a request in a shop.

I use the path tool to highlight the image and cut it and paste it. But we should stop spammin' now.

Well, he did just start.

Anyway, I'll do yours: It's not bad at all. The focal point is good, and I like the lighting. However, the text seems very pasted on, and the font doesn't go too well with the overall feel of the banner. Also, the shard-like effect sort of distracts from the render. Perhaps tone it down just a tad.
