Japanese version fans - Pokemon Forum

I'm not trying to look down upon dub/English version fans, or single them out, but rather I guess I just feeling out of place and all in all kind of lonely being a Japanese version-only fan in an English version-dominated community (not to mention avoiding D&P when it's the new craze amongst most fans, but that's another story). Still, I also acknowledge I'm not the only one who feels like this, so here's a thread for any who prefers Rica Matsumoto over Veronica Talyor, calls #006 Lizardon instead of Charizard, likes the depth the original version has over the altered version, or just likes the sound and feel of the Japanese version of Pokemon, or "Pocket Monsters". Express your feelings here! ^^

I thought about that, but I also wanted it to apply to fans of the Japanese version of the games, etc. It's for fans of Japanese Pocket Monsters in its entirety.

Well, believe it or not, even I don't understand much Japanese (even if I can read some of them) I play Japanese versions of Pokemon. And I even find some surprises and differences between them'^^(

Quite true. I hope to get the Japanese versions of the games some day. I can't say though that I know more about the differences between the Japanese and American versions than the fact that at the end of Red/Green/Blue in the Japanese version you get Mew from getting all the original 150, and you get basically nothing in the American version.

I recently was on holiday in Japan, and I went to see the new Arceus film, and it is much more epic in Japanese even though I didn't understand a word of it, there really is much more depth to the characters!
