Read the first one. Honestly, they did a terrible job of the publicity for the second book, and I didn't even know that the third book had been published.
Honestly, the first story was enough. The whole concept was silly enough to prove strangely epic, but it did not exactly leave me trying to crawl back for more. If anything, its better than Eragon... EVERYTHING is better than Eragon. Okay not everything... more accurately nothing is more overrated than Eragon. If you give a reasonably talented High Schooler no life and some classic fantasy and sci-fi novels, Eragon is probably the only result. Yeah I like to bash Eragon whenever I get the chance. So sue me.

I read Inkheart. It rocked, so I started Inkspell, but I hated it, so I didn't finish it.

Actually, I've read Inkheart and Inkspell...
I didn't like it THAT much, and I like Inkheart more than Inkspell. Actually, I have a copy of the first one xD Didn't buy it myself, though, somebody gave it to me. I didn't know the third book was out until I saw somebody reading it at school, though. What's it called again? Inkdeath or something? I should pick it up, I have nothing else to read. btw, you should be talking about Twilight being overrated, not Eragon. LOL
