Pokemon Rocket - Some ideas

A few years ago I wrote a game called Pokemon rocket in RPG Maker and it was about the dark side of the Pokemon world. How one trainer joins team rocket and destroys everything, the game made it into production but I stopped doing it when I went into University, I am thinking of restarting the project and perhaps doing it in a more powerful game engine rather than RPG maker. Please let me know what you think. The game will be unlicensed and will be more of a fan game rather than an official game.
