Another Piplup-centric episode. :l And showcasing the equally as stale Elekid. Iwane is directing though, so it's not all dire. I can only guess this is relating to the inevitable Johto promotion, considering the random second generation Pokemon being used.

It's nice to see Kanto and Johto Pokemon for a change. ^^

It can't; Dawn gave it an Everstone in order to prevent its evolution. Bad move on the writers part.

According to the Newtype summary, Piplup apparently falls in love with the Marill mentioned.

Sounds like a rehash of a certain useless Johto filler. :l

Reminds me of a Kanto episode where Misty's Psyduck was supposed to fall in love with some other Pokemon for a video or movie...

But Piplup and Marill wouldn't work. Piplup is a penguin and Marill is a mouse. :x Elekid comes in and he just goes. "Boom" And they all faint.
