If you wanna cheat and make it like you faster, keep giving it potions when its HP is full. It'll say "It won't have any effect" but it increases Pikachu's happiness anyway.

potions honestly do that? I am going to try that right now thanks for that info PTS.

Yeah, i just tried it. the first time you talk to it after potions, there is a speech bubble over its head with a heart before the window appears. Then it reaches its arms out like it's going to hug you. hearts DO appear over its head. It's kinda cute, really.
EDIT** P.S.: you don't have to buy, like 20 separate potions. Make sure Pika's health is full, then buy one.

Re: Red/Blue/Yellow Game Discussion
When evolving your starter in this game, does it add anything, except extra levels to moves.
I see no Pros to the situation

Re: Red/Blue/Yellow Game Discussion
Hey guys, I have a question. Is there any way to erase the dark pokemon from the cartridge/game? I used to play Pokemon and loved it, but my dad doesn't like the dark ones/ghost ones and I don't either. Please reply soon as I can't wait to play again!

Moontiger, you are either a troll, which are actually rare in these forums, or you just need to stop playing video games and go back to church.

No, there's no way.
But there aren't that many Dark or Ghost types in the game. It shouldn't be hard to avoid most of them.

Dark types don't even exist in R/B/Y... nor do Steel.

Re: Red/Blue/Yellow Game Discussion
Is it me or did Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres have above-average stats in these games. When I got them, they would sweep the elite four. The thing is that they are not considered uber in the latest generations

Re: Red/Blue/Yellow Game Discussion
Tes, it is. You get each starter from a different person in the game. I forget where and who you get them from, though.

Bulbasaur is available in one of the houses in Cerulean City. Charmander is available by talking to the kid directly above Nugget Bridge. Squirtle is available in Vermillean (spelling) after beating Lt. Surge.
