All Poison types will be the chemist's/substance analyst's best friend.

Not much use for Steel and Rock types.

Ghost types are for dead people to return the world on unfinished business.

Dark types...Not much use there either.

Psychic-types...Too many uses. Teleport? Mind reading? Prophecies? Light-Screen security systems? So on and so forth.
Steel: For magnets.
Rock: Yeah, can't think of uses either. Except for decorations in gardens, parks, etc. But they have some strength as well.
Dark: To steal stuff or to protect stuff from being stolen.

Stuff you missed:

Fighting: Whatever that requires brute force.
Grass: Gardening, decoration of parks, etc.
Ground: Helping out the Grass-Types, + digging, excavating etc.
Dragon: Not much use other than to look cool and be strong.
Ice: For desert travel.
Water: Ice's use (to a smaller extent) + water supply.
Bug: Fun for collecting. :3
Normal: Jack of all trades.

You could have a Banette (or any Ghost-type, for that matter) act as a tour guide through a haunted house.

Your Piloswine could find lost objects.

Your Houndoom could guard the house while you're away.

Your Arcanine could be the coolest car ever. (Arcanines are six feet tall - why not?)

Most could be used as a bodyguard. This includes Wobbuffet, who could take your blows for you. ... XP

Bronzong could serve as an "alarm bell", I suppose...?

Anything that can change the weather could, well, change the weather at my whim... Depending on how long a "turn" is in real life. XD

Eeveelutions for cuddling with...?

Pokemon Ranger 2 has all those field move things that each Pokemon can have, like surfing on an Empoleon/being lifted in the air by a Drifblim/etc.
