The Eight: A New Generation SU CLOSED

A time ago, when humans just discovered how powerful and dangerous Pokemon were, there were eight youths that could understand the call of a Pokemon. They called themselves The Eight. One day, The Eight were called off into different directions. One of them was called to a far off mountain, another one left to a faraway cave, another was beckoned to the deeper parts of the kingdom’s forest, three of them were called to separate lakes, another was called out to a cave at sea and the last of The Eight left to an ancient tree called the Tree of Beginning. Days later, The Eight were reunited and they told each other about their journeys. All of their stories seemed the same, they followed the call and found a glowing egg. A passerby happening to hear their fortune, quickly ran to the kingdom village telling everyone he saw about The Eight’s findings. When this news reached the kingdom, an unmarried king, who went by the name of Van, became envious. He tried to learn to understand the call of a Pokemon, but failed miserably. When he couldn’t learn, he paid needy villagers to go and rob The Eight of their precious eggs. But they didn’t get far as The Eight had several Pokemon guarding their land. Van became furious and frustrated and dedicated almost all of his life to waiting till the eggs hatched. Just like King Van, The Eight also waited for the day their eggs hatched. Unfortunately, the day never came.


Thousands of years later, the eggs still untouched, were passed on down the generations of The Eight’s pure bloodline (meaning mother to daughter or father to son and so on and so forth) the eggs were given to the youngest generation, their age range about 15-17. They don’t pay much attention to the eggs because of all the stories they heard about them, and put them in places where they can be both watched and ignored. about a month goes by and the eggs dwindling glow seems to become fiercer. The glow becomes so unbearable, that some of the kids place items over it to block some of the glow. Finally, the glowing reaches its maximum and the egg begins to hatch.

The setting of the story is immediately after the egg hatches.

The egg reveals to be a legendary Pokemon but it is limited to the following:
Mew (taken)
Celebi (taken)
Jirachi (taken)
Uxie (taken)
Azlef (taken)
Mesprit (taken)
Manaphy (taken)
Riolu (taken)
Not only do we need The Eight, we also need the “friendly but suspicious” character (taken)

Description: Average height, she tends to wear purple clothing alot, she has cat- like features and likes feline-ish Pokemon but she will openly catch any Pokemon she wants. However, she really likes the Pokemon Eevee, for its doggish/felin-ish looks

History: since she could remember, Kat could understand what Pokemon were saying. Though no one really believed her, Kat kept to herself and talked to her favorite Pokemon, Delcatty and Growlithe. As she got older, Kat decided to keep quiet about her power and she was soon accepted into society and made a few friends. Even though she constanltly heard the thoughts of Pokemon, she quickly learned to shut them out and continue to be an almost normal teenager. A few years back, she was given a glowing egg, when she wasn't busy training, she observed the egg and every once and a while she swore she could hear a muffled giggle or someone saying "I'm coming soon, Kat." No one outside of her family knew she had the egg but suspicions began to gather when the egg's dreamy glow became a blinding light. She slowly decided to let Pokemon more back into her life and even talked to the nearby wild Pokemon. She still talks to her Growlithe who thinks she should find a "mate" and be happy for once, but she is skeptical that anyone would like her.

Description: Aero has a long mane of purple wavy (kind of frizzy) hair, that reaches to about her lower back. Her eyes are hazel green, and she usually dresses in bright colours and skirts/dresses. She has a sparkly pure silver ribbon that she ties up to keep her bangs back, revealing her forehead. As a sort of charm, on the silver ribbon there is her mother's first contest ribbon attached.

History: Bella lives in Hearthome City, Sinnoh, mostly because her mother is Fantina, the Hearthome Gym Leader. Along with her mother, Bella used to live in a region much more north of Sinnoh, where it was dreadfully cold. Soon enough, Fantina brought her three year old daughter and herself to Sinnoh, where they lived in Snowpoint for a short period of time; while Fantina powered up her pokemon, wanting to have a better life for her daughter. Of course, Fantina reached her goal, and was granted the position of the gym leader of the contest capital. Growing up, Bella was surrounded by contests and coordinating, along with dancing as her mother loved the hobby. She noticed that she could communicate with pokemon when she was six, and loves to visit her mother's gym to speak with the pokemon. She has a stronger connection with Ghost type pokemon, because of this, although Normal types seem to like her as well. At the age of twelve, she was given her egg, who is now her best friend, even though it can't speak. Aero has always sensed a pokemon inside of the egg, and likes to talk to it, although she gets no response back. Her pokemon, Drifloon, Misdreavus, and an Igglybuff, love to speak with their trainer. Igglybuff is the only one who isn't hesitant to touch and interact with the egg.

Description: Chris

Chris has an odd natural hair color as most can see. Chris's right eye tends to be closed if there is a bright light as his left eye seems to be his dominant one. Chris has dark brown eyes that most people like to compliment on and say he has pretty eyes which he often denies. There is barely a smile on his face although he doesn't really seem to be that serious which leads to why laughing is mostly the only time he smiles. Chris has a muscular tone despite his thin body. Barely any skin is shown whenever he goes out in public. A hoody and jeans are seen at almost all times. Chris wears gloves that cover only his palm and to the joints of his thumbs are worn a lot also. Any shoes he wears have to be suitable for running or playing basketball in.

Personality: Chris is a person who loves to joke around. He doesn't like to make new friends but feels obliged to. Once they do become his friend, he will act as if they were his friend since they met. He tends to avoid people he doesn't know so as to avoid any awkwardly silent moments that would probably never happen anyway. Chris hates to smile but his funloving side always forces a laugh out of him. Chris isn't one to pull pranks that are mean that would hurt them or something related to it. He'd only pull pranks if he knew it would get them to laugh. Chris is a rather nice person who helps out his friends in all situations to an extent. Chris has a bad temper but it takes a lot to get it out of him. The only thing that will immediately let it out is an insult to any of his siblings or cruelty to things that can't or won't defend themselves. Chris is never one to judge people when he first meets them but if they hang around him and show evil in them, they'd better stay out of his life.

History: Since Chris was able to talk he was able to speak with pokemon as well as he could with people. Chris grew up talking to them and making them his friends. He was not considered a popular kid in school mainly because he hated the thought of popularity. Anybody who had a good heart would be able to make friends with him, after a while. He decided to keep away from people he didn't know. The first choice of friends for him would be those who didn't know many people, as they wouldn't just try to use him like some others might. This came in handy as each of his friends were loyal to him. Chris never blocked out talking to pokemon and actually let his secret out to two friends. They believed him after witnessing it, and nobody heard of it. An egg was recently given to Chris and he kept it safe all he could. Not even the two friends who knew he could talk to pokemon were able to see the egg.

History: His father, and his father's father, and his father's fartherfather, and so on, were all scientist at a reasearch laboratory. Although he had a natural knack for it, he didn't want anything to do with it. He became rebellious and hate the dreaded building. When he turned 16, his father gave him an egg, an egg that had been in exsitence for hundreds of years. He took it and simple shoved it in a bag he had on him, thinking nothing of it.

Description: Kaitlynn is a sarcastic, risk-taking, trouble-making teen who is blunt and truthful to everyone. The small group - if it should even be called that - of friends have put up with her crap since day one, but it was well worth it. When befriended, Kaitlynn is a useful ally that will stop at nothing to save those that are dear to her. She is fearful of very few things, excluding death. She wears a snug black tee with pleated plaid miniskirt. Her black shoes are slightly faded, giving off a sort of gray look. Her army green shoulder bag holds all of her personal belongings. She has a red ribbon tied around her wrist that serves as a hair elastic or head band when needed. She wears black, fingertipless gloves that she refuses to take off. And there's just one thing. Don't call her Kate.

History: When Kaitlynn's mother died, it was hell for the teen. She had just turned thirteen, and a stupid egg was her present from her father. When Kaitlynn was little, her mother used to be sweet to her. But as Kaitlynn grew older, her mother grew bitter and rude. When she died, Kaitlynn spat on her grave. Kaitlynn's father had given up on any hope he had put into her daughter. There was no way parenting could save her. The egg was the only thing that could even hope to change his daughter's life, but the chances were slim to notihng. Kaitlynn had become hesitant to trusting anybody, because her trust had failed when put into her mother. After being betrayed, Kaitlynn wasn't able to trust again. She had created a hard exterior, and refused to let anyone inside her head. Counseling made her angry; silence made her uneasy. The truth was that the adolescent was afraid; her father was scared of her, and her mother was dead. No one understood what it was like to not be able to forgive someone before they leave the Earth. But, beneath it all, there was a secret. Her gloves held memories of her mother. They were the one real memory she had left, and it definitely wasn't good. Despite all of this, Kaitlynn hides her feelings easily. She puts on a brave face every morning, and no one suspects a thing.

When walking around town one day, Kaitlynn's shoulder bag began to vibrate. She didn't have anything that could make such a buzz, but when she checked it, it was the egg her father gave her. Kaitlynn just rolled her eyes and kept on walking, and if it was ready to hatch, it would. She had better things to do until then.
