They can't do that. THey're dumb jobs make them have to stay.
And so what if it's a tropical storm. It can still bring a heck of a load of damage.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think trying to survive would be a better idea than keeping some job...
I'm SO glad I live in the pacific northwest. We never get stuff like this.

Ahh, you are making me feel unsafe. I always wish I live in the pacific northwest, where it is peace and quiet compared to the atlantic south-east.

Re: Hurricane Ike
BUT MEG, YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE BIGFOOTZ!
And yeah, the people that didn't evacuate were just stubborn. They knew that they were facing "certain death", and yet they chose to stay... It's quite sad really.

Re: Hurricane Ike
Well I live in the middle of Texas so it didn't hit us, but we had some strong winds and a lot of rain.

Re: Hurricane Ike
Ike... Seriously... It's a giant deadly hurricane and they call it IKE. I'm sorry. But the names they come up with for hurricanes and tornados, etc. just astound me.
I saw some footage on the news, I'm in Australia, and DAMN. I really hope everyone is faring well. It's interesting, I'd really never think a hurricane would hit Texas, I'm used to hearing the New Orleans area going under :/
I've been listening to that horrible train crash in LA... Seriously, how do two trains COLLIDE?!?! The blokes monitoring the rails make sure that that stuff can't happen at all! Urgh, so horrible.
Best wishes to all those in LA and Texas, may you live long, happy lives after these tragedies.

Re: Hurricane Ike
Wow. I remember how bad Katrina was. What if Ike is worse?
I'm glad I live in New Jersey.

Yes, because of anything the size of Texas that isn't Texas itself is over-hyped for no reason .
