The Pretender by Foo Fighters, and Rockstar by Nickelback.
My dad got Nickelback's "All The Right Reasons" album on release date, and we were in the truck listening to it on the way home. We got to Rockstar, and I was like "this is a good song". About a month later, it was on the radio 24/7. Now I'm sick of it. Actually, I'm almost sick of the whole album, except for the songs that were never played on the radio.
Say whatever you want about Nickelback, I like 'em. :/. Maybe it's just Chad Kroger's voice, I dunno.
Hate it when that happens. I know there are more songs I can think of, those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I tend to always pick out relatively unheard of bands, and stick with them for a long time. Then, a select few become popular, and everyone's like, "I'M THE BIGGEST ___ FAN EVER!" and it irritates me, because I'm like, yeah, I got tired of them years ago. XD
One example is Paramore. I've always been a FBR fan, and I was around when they got signed back in 2005.
I fell in love with them, memorized All We Know is Falling, was first in line to buy Riot! when it came out, and then BAM! they became hugely popular.
They were actually one of my least-expected bands to make it big when they first came out, and so I was pretty suprised at their popularity.
And yeah, I could go on listing bands like that for days.
The slowness that is the mainstream music scene upsets me. D:
