Crap! A communication error. I've been getting a lot of those lately. I'm sorry.

WHat you want to do is give your mon the Power Bracer and train it near the entrance to Turnback cave. Fish in the water there with a Super Rod. 100% chances of getting Gyarados/Seaking, both of which give two attack EVs. Have your mon you want EV'd first in your party. Instead of attacking, just switch into something that can take a hit from Gyara/Seak and kill it. Repeat. :)

This sort of thing should probably be handled in PM.

But to answer your question, you got linked to the lame guide. You should have gone to the good one, at http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...ad.php?t=48352, where you would have found precise instructions on how to get your Pokémon to exactly 252 attack EVs:

Quote:
First, start with 10 Proteins. That's 100. Now, equip the Power Bracer and fight some Gyarados (2 attack)--12 with the Pokérus, 24 without. Fish with the Super Rod on Route 229, where Gyarados has a 100% encounter rate. You'll have 244 EVs after this. So now, unequip the Power Bracer and equip the Macho Brace. Fight another 1 Gyarados with the Pokérus or 2 without. You'll now have 252.
You also would have learned that you can just do what the old-timers did before the Exp. Share could be attached to the Pokémon you wanted to train: send out your Bagon in the beginning of the match, and immediately switch to a stronger Pokémon to actually kill those Gyarados.

I suppose your problem has been solved this time, but next time, you will know what to do on your own! Good luck with your future training.
