You get it post-ending, after you rescue Scizor from Froslass.

Bottomless Sea, Shimmer Desert, Mt. Avalanche, Giant Volcano, World Abyss, Sky Stairway, and Mystery Jungle give you Kyogre, Groudon, Articuno, Heatran, Giratina, Rayquaza, and Mew, respectively. Bottomless Sea and Sky Stairway are 50 floors each. Shimmer Desert is 10 floors. Mt. Avalanche, Giant Volvano, and World Abyss are 30 floors each. Bottomless Sea is full of Water-types. Shimmer Desert is full of Rock, Ground, and Poison-types. Mt. Avalanche is full of Ice & Water-types. Giant Volcano is full of Fire & Ground-types. World Abyss is full of Flying, Electric, and Dark-types. Sky Staircase is full of Flying, Ghost, and Poison-types. Mystery Dungeon is full of Grass, Bug, and Poison-types. On the last floor, you fight the respective boss. Defeat the boss, and you receive one of the seven treasures. The seven treasures maximize the recruit chance for a specific type. Also, there's a chance the boss will join you when your leader defeats it.

Once you receive all seven treasures, a golden box appears on the screen that displays your Exploration Team before you start the game and after pressing Continue.

That's all you really need to know.
