Missingno. discussion
Missingno. is the best! even though it isn't technically a pokemon.
How many forms of Missingno. are in the game?

Re: Missingno. discussion
I suppose there'd be heaps if you could mess around with a Gameshark and stuff. But I think there are really only 5 forms found in RB - Missingno., 'M, Kabutops Skeleton Missingno., Aerodactyl Skeleton Missingno. and Ghost Missingno.
I've always thought Missingno. was pretty awesome. I used to spend ages researching glitches and stuff.

Re: Missingno. discussion
That reminds me of something. One time, I was playing, and I battled Gary in the ocean somewhere. When I beat him some weird text appeared, then "Oh no! Gary stole your Pokemon!" and then my data was deleted. Was that a Missingno?

Yeah, Supersmashbrawl, don't make stuff up, man.
Anyone hear about the Ditto code in R/B to find pretty much every pokemon in R/B, and some different types of Missingno.?

Re: Missingno. discussion
You have to get the Soul Badge (for Surf), and you really should have HM02. Then, all you need to do is be able to fly to cinnabar.

This statement is a hyper-bole, glitches cause problems which are unwanted, something like this cannot happen since the game was not programmed this way....

Re: Missingno. discussion
It is actually possible to come across random trainers when searching for Missingno. Two that I've come across are Gary and Blaine. I can't see it saying that Gary stole your Pokemon though, since that wasn't programmed in the game. =/
Anyway, there's more info on trainers appearing here: http://trsrockin.com/glitchtrainers.html
To encounter Missingno:
Quote:
Encounter Missingno. AKA The Rare Candy Code (Red/Blue only)
1. Talk to the old man in Viridian who shows you how to catch Pokemon.
2. Say "yes" when he asks if you'd like him to show you
3. When the battle's over, FLY to Cinnabar Island
4. Surf on the East (right) coast on the Island (half on land/half in water)
5. You will eventually encounter Missingno.
6. Beat it or run from it. Catching it is not recommended as it can permanently glitch up your game.
7. The 6th item in your Items will be duplicated over 99x.

Re: Missingno. discussion
You can even find members of the Elite Four as trainers if you do the Ditto code. It freezes your game, though.

In this case, it makes perfect sense.

Re: Missingno. discussion
Actually, SuperSmashBrawl was not making anything up. Whatever you encounter in the ocean other than MissingNo. is all determined by your name. For instance, if your name was, "a.w.y.x.", then you can encounter all 4 forms of MissingNo.
