Re: ?Sharking Moves?
If bug resisted psychic then Hera would switch in to Azams so often it'd drive Hera's usage even higher than the OU status it does have :p
Nah, Bug doesn't resist psychic at all. It's like rock doesn't resist rock =)

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Man... the type alignments are a mess. it can't be as simple as "if type A beats type B then type A resists type B." because that would be too easy...
So back 2 topic: i'm not screwed ? i don't know why i should care; there's a pretty good chance this stoopid jynx doesn't even have the DVs i thought it does.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
You realise if you have a gameshark, you can make a perish trapping lapras or something, far more staying power. Unless you dont want to make it obvious you've sharked. I dont like perish-trapping (ch33pness.) I dont like jynx either. Missy roXX0rz the perish trap.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Lapras has Whirlpool as the trap move, which is unreliable and a sucky move in general =/

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
I mean if he has a gameshark at his disposal, he can put mean look on lapras.. He can put perish trap on magikarp if he wants to! But this is an ice team I believe?

i don't want any genetic freak/ illegal pokemon, thanks. The closest i'll go is sharking NYPC moves. Does whirlpool even keep pokemon in battle?? i've read it's supposed to but on NB neither clamp or whirlpool does this.
i don't consider a perish trapping jynx 2 be cheap, due to it's LACK of staying power. Balance, grasshopper.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Lmao, but persishtrap itself is cheap, regardless of jynx's staying power. IMO.
And I only said the mean look lapras to get my point across. I already guessed you didnt want any freak pokemon if you read my earlier post.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Perish trap by itself isn't cheap. If your team has no Pseudohazer, your team phails at life.
Sleeptrap, on the other hand...
Anyways, Whirlpool does keep pokemon in play, for anywhere between 2-5 turns. Hence the riskiness associated with trapping on whirlpool

Cloyster is the Spiker and m00ber. Spike up and use Ice Beam to damage. If you are lucky enough, they may send out their Rapid Spinner, you Clamp, they Rapid Spin, you m00b, gfg.

i tried out this lil ditty posted by khold in the team making procedures,
http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...ead.php?t=2541
and guess what? Didn't work out. The damn spin blew away both spikes and clamp.
i've also tried clamping in order to PREVENT the rapid spinner from entering. i don't know what's going on.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Of course, Clamp and friends are PARTIAL traps. Rapid spin kills Spikes, Partial traps and Leech seed too.
But what he meant was, you clamp when they send out the RSer, and go m00b when they use rapid spin, on the same turn. Both die, and uh... I guess you lose spikes if the spinner is faster than you (Which is possible, if it's a starmie), but either way you come out winning. =)

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Boo.
i like my spikes. Do you know any other counters for a rapid spin that KEEP the spikes around?
BtW, i'd gladly m00b out a starmie, regardless. Those punks are hell on my team.

Re: ?Sharking Moves?
Well, some teams have spikers that don't m00b. They rest instead, and then spike some more until the opposing rapid spinner dies =/
