Default Shortcut to EV training

Cant I just give them 10 protein or smthn to max out the stat instead of all that ev training? if so why doesnt anyone do it?

The vitamins only work up to 100 evs.

Yeah What Optimus said. Also, Vitamins cost a lot, and even if you give it 10, there's still 152 left.

Normal EV Training goes up to 255 in one stat, but people only go to 252 since 3 extra does nothing. 10 vitamins only give you 100 EVs.

It works up to 252, approximately. So you'd come up short 152 EV's.

I guess i'll have to take the 100 of vitamines, and train a little. That's enough for me.

If your lazy, go a head and just use the vitamins, but if you want your pokemon to stand a chance in competitve play (if that's what you're going for), then completely EV train them. You won't stand a chance otherwise.

If you EV train, you have to use the Vitamins anway, BUT you get MORE EVs through EV training than you will with the Vitamins alone; on top of that, if you don't fully EV train your team, you'll get creamed in competitive play.
