Default Passing Teaming {RSE}

Okay, I have posted the other team, and changed almost the whole team. Try not to change whatever Pokemon that is inside, but comments about them are highly appreciated. Also, I hope this gets more response. ;_;

This is Ruby, there's no move tutor. :\

Alakazam @ Lum Berry
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SA, 252 Spd, 4 HP

Calm Mind
Thunder Punch
Fire Punch
Psychic

~

Ninjask @ Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk, 176 SD, 80 Spd

Baton Pass
Protect
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace

Will start with either this or Girafarig, up stats then pass.

~

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP, 160 Spd, 96 SD

Barrier
Ice Beam
Surf
Mirror Coat

Good enough? Or will Toxic/Giga Drain be better?

~

Sharpedo @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 SA, 252 Spd, 4 SD

Surf
Ice Beam
Crunch
Rock Tomb

Should I get Modest or Timid? I need to outspeed a Sceptile, which might have Speed EVs. What should be filled in the last slot? Sharpedo doesn't learn Endure in Ruby since there's no MT, and I don't have the special berries, like Salac.

~

Dusclops @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP, 200 Def, 56 SD

Night Shade
Toxic
Protect
Rest

I rather have Rest over Pain Split because I don't think it can learn that in Ruby, and Rest helps with status conditions too.

~

Girafarig @ Leftovers
Ability: Early Bird
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP, 200 Def, 56 SD

Baton Pass
Calm Mind
Crunch
Psychic

Will I need Rest? Rest does work well with Early Bird anyway. And Crunch or T-Bolt is better? My opponent has a Gardevoir so I was kind of thinking of Crunch with Calm Mind.

For Alakazam, I would go with Shadow Ball over Fire Punch.

This is for the third generation, why Shadow Ball isn't effective on 'Zam; Fire Punch is for Metagross and friends.

I know, but Shadow Ball is for other Psychic types and ghosts. It gives you a free switch in on Pyschics.

You would be better off with Hidden Power [Dark] if you want to cover other 'Zams, since Ghost is Physical and 'Zam doesn't dent a thing Physically. Even so, you're better off with the elemental punches for more overall coverage; not to mention 'Zam does not resist them.

I'm not really in for Hidden Powers ingame, they take too much time.

But I'm interested in knowing something though. Why do people always get TPunch and FPunch for Alakazam, and not Ice Punch? :o

Oh yea I forgot Ghost was Physical. People dont use Ice Punch on Zam because, well I dont know. They get about the same amount of coverage. You could go with Ice Punch over Thunderpunch if wanted to be creative though.
