Ruby/sapphire=bad Pokemon!
I FINALLY found out the stat changes from gold/silver/crystal to Ruby/Sapphire. It's -30! This means if you raised a pokemon to level 100 a Houndoom lets say its defense would be 230. On Ruby and Sapphire it would be 200. This can still vary depending on personality, but overall all stats hp,defense, attack, etc are -30. Just wanted to let you guys know!
Does anyone have a Rayquaza level 100? If so can you post its stats and list the personality? This will help me further study the negative effects of personalities on pokemon. thanks a lot!

Nonsense, it's your EV training. Everytime you battle a Pokemon, your Pokemon(s) will obtain EVs. Each Pokemon gives a certain number of EVs, and 4 EVs makes one stats point.(I think the EV system was different in GSC, but w/e) It's just you training it wrongly, not the game's fault >:0

Re: Ruby/sapphire=bad Pokemon!
Without EVs, all stats of all Pokemon would be -30 from their GSC counterparts, with a no stat changing nature.
Basically, all Pokemon have lower stats everywhere, until you give them EVs and get a stat-changing nature, but even then, the other stats will still be lower than the matching stats of GSC Pokemon. GSC Pokemon have a higher stat total, either way.

You might find a Lv.100 Rayquaza on my thread/poll, Who's your strongest pokemon? And as far as negative effects go with Rayquaza, weather attacks don't hurt him. Attacks like hail, sandstorm, ANYTHING weather-based won't hurt him. I'm not sure about thunder though.

You have it all wrong. Air Lock doesn't stop weather, just stops the effects of the weather. It could be raining, but Thunder could miss. It could be brightly sunny, and Solar Beam would have to charge. It could be Sand-storming, but no one would get hit.
