Default Sceptile Moveset

Can anyone think of a good moveset for my Sceptile? It's current moveset is:
False Swipe
Pursuit
Leaf Blade
Quick Attack

I want to keep Leaf Blade and False Swipe.

Good moves: Leech Seed, Substitute, Leaf Blade, Thunder Punch/Ice Punch/Dragon Claw are your best bets.

Because, if you put it in with Solarbeam, it can use it without needing to charge up for it.

Smile Re: Sceptile Moveset

Actually Sceptile is meant to be a mixed-sweeper (high Atk and Sp. Atk), I suggest the following moveset in the conditions you said:

Moveset:
-Leaf Blade
-False Swipe
-Earthquake
-Swords Dance

Hold Item: Shell Bell

Some people suggest Thunderpunch for Sceptile to take down flying enemies, but I think that most of the times it's better for you switch for another ally or attack if Attack has been raised a couple of times

PokeyMasterMind, Assaundrell Yumerai, Swampert Guy, and Crow; this thread has been dead since 2007. Make sure you check the date the last post was. If it has been over 30 days from the last post, don't put in a new post as it is breaking the rules.

When in doubt, read the rules.

Wink Re: Sceptile Moveset

You shouldn't keep False Swipe in the moveset just to take foes into 1 HP

I know this come in handy when catching rare or legendary Pokemons, but you could have a False Swipe slave (Farfetch'd, Cubone, Nincada and Zangoose, for example)
