He can't really do much but Sunnybeaming and increasing his speed.
Exeggutor (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Chlorophyll EVs: Max Sp. and a lot of speed, remaining in HP Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Solar Beam - Sunny Day - Psychic - Hidden Power [Fighting]

Exeggutor actually has some neat options in D/P now, with Sludge Bomb and Ancientpower both being Special (Ancientpower covering his weaknesses of Flying, Ice, and Bug). But still, the only thing it can do to hit Steel-types is a Fire, Ground, or Fighting Hidden Power.
- Psychic - Energy Ball - Ancientpower - Hidden Power Oh, and hey, it can learn Explosion via TM

you could always try
wish/ reflect/ grass knot/ hp fire should you have access to Wish.
