Wisp could sense its opponent getting weaker. How hilarious, considering he had taken its wonderful little doll away! It would make that lizard pay for that folly, and pay for it dearly. Gathering more dark energy before it, the dark orb composed of shadows shot forth like a Zubat out of the Torn World, smashing into the weakened Charmander.

Char was in so much pain. His legs swayed beneath him, his vision was blurred, and his head throbbed. Every movement was sluggish and difficult to do, and he knew he was just about out. His anger at the situation, his desperation, his agony, all coalesced into the fire within his gut. Opening his mouth, he spewed forth another jet of crimson flame, although it burned distinctly brighter, and to the cackling ghost, hurt considerably more as well.

Wisp could see it. Char was done for, so completely and utterly done for. That last attack had hurt, but it was obvious to the ghost that it was a full of dismay and realization, that it was a final attempt from a wounded animal to ward off its attacker. It had failed, clearly, because it was still here, still living - or as much as a ghost could live - and it was going to finish what it started. Calling forth the energy it had used so much in this fight already, it grinned, lobbing it forth to deal that last blow.

As he watched the glob flying at him...He gave up. He honestly gave up. The little Charmander, with his flame flickering so softly and in such a dim way, knew that was it. He barely felt the attack smash into his beaten body, knocking him backwards and to his trainer's feet. He couldn't get up, heck, he couldn't even move. Char was just relieved that the embrace of unconsciousness finally claimed him, putting him out of his pain and exhaustion...for now.
