Rotom was getting tired of this – too much longer and it would be dragging on unnecessarily. The phantom wasn’t scared of this apparently haunted house, but its trainer’s constant screams as the lights flickered was beginning to grind on its nerves. It began to channel a load of energy to the end of its arms, creating a ball of static electricity, which it threw quickly at Litwick so that she didn’t have time to get away. The candle screamed as waves of electricity coursed through her body. Even after the attack had dissipated, the fire-type shuddered and her flame flickered dangerously: she was on her last legs now.
She wasn’t about to give up though. A ball of weak ghostly energy formed above her weakening flame and was soon flying at Wisp. The attack hit easily; the Rotom had lowered its guard after his last hit, thinking that the battle had been as good as over. Now the world seemed to be spinning around it as it watched, and it could barely understand what was going on around it. This was not how it’d been planning for this to go.
Nevertheless, it had to continue or who knew what Litwick to do to pull even. The lights switched off as it began to prepare its attack – a ball of electricity like the first. Unfortunately, just as it was about to throw the crackling sphere of lightning, the light switched back on. This normally wouldn’t affect Wisp, but in its confused state of mind, it seemed the world around it had suddenly erupted into light. The Electro Ball spun off wildly to the left, with Rotom moving in the other direction, smashing itself into the nearest wall as it tried to escape.
Litwick didn’t spare a moment before taking advantage of this stroke of luck. A red aura quickly sprang up around her and then focused into a beam. This was fired at Wisp who was staring at the wall it had just flown into, as if wondering where it had come from. The beam of energy took it by surprise, and it screeched loudly as pain wracked its body. The attack also caused the burned part of him to start stinging again. All in all, the round hadn’t gone nearly as well as the poor poltergeist had hoped.
