IC:
Keiru&Amelia Kozaka, District One
In District One/ On Tribute Train

Keiru sighed, leaning back against the wall as he stared at the ceiling. He wouldn't be surprised if his parents didn't even bother turning up, since they had always been too busy with their business to pay attention to their family, especially after what had happened to Amelia, they still didn't even bother with the two of them. A sudden knock at the door brought Keiru out of his thoughts, as he glared at the door as it opened, revealing a man with golden hair and a rough blond beard beginning to establish itself upon his face. His eyes were a crimson colour, much like Keiru's, and Keiru didn't even change his reaction from a glare as he recognised who it was.

"Father..." Keiru spat, as if disgusted by the mere thought that the man before him was his father.

His father stood at the other end of the room, fidgeting nervously, rubbing his left arm as he tried to decide what to say, raising his gaze from the floor to look to Keiru.

"Why did you volunteer?" his father asked, his features contorting into worry.

Keiru merely glared back at his father in response. His father couldn't really be that stupid to not realise why Keiru had volunteered. His father released a sigh, moving to take a step forward, but Keiru's gaze prevented him, as he finally noticed the pure anger and hatred within it.

"Look, Keiru, I know I haven't been the best of fathers." At this, a small laugh escaped from Keiru as he shook his head. "But, I want to make amends. I wouldn't be able to stand it if something were to happen to you in there. I do care about you, you know. The business, us working hard, was all for your future."

"And whilst you were busy working for my future." Keiru growled, disgust evident now in his tone. "I had to take on a father figure role in Amelia's life, because you were too busy working for my future? Your excuses are laughable father. You don't even know what happened to Amelia do you?"

At this, shock and confusion rose upon his father's face. Several moments of silence passed, before his father broke the silence.

"She never told us..." was all his father could get out, sadness clear on his face.

"Men broke into our home, because we were your children whilst you were off gallivanting around in your business, and I was out making sure we had enough to live. I arrived home not too long after they seemingly broke in, and was quickly taken out, by a surprise attack. They did terrible things to her, father." Keiru's glare was now met by his father's horrified features as they made eye contact. "I mercilessly attacked them upon breaking free of my restraints, leaving them all bloody messes on the floor, and it took them months to recover. I still wished I had killed them for what they had done, but of course, I would have ended up causing more harm to my sister as then I would have been out of her life too."

"We practically disowned you after we heard about the attack on those men. We didn't know why you had attacked them..." his father muttered in sadness. "But, Keiru, believe me, when I say that I want you to survive this, I want our family to be back together in the future. You must protect your sister like you have been before, and both of you return to us. Then we can be a family again. All of us."

"It will take me a while to forgive you and mother for what happened, however, I'm sure Amelia would be pleased to have our family reunite. I don't think, however, that we should inform her until we're out of there and back home. I don't want to get her hopes up, to only have them shattered if something were to happen to me." Keiru stated.

Silence filled the room, a minute or two passing before his father nodded, looking into Keiru's eyes.

"Okay. Keiru, please make sure you win. I want us to be a family again." his father requested as he moved closer to Keiru, embracing him in a hug, several moments passing before Keiru returned the gesture.

The two of them broke apart as his father glanced at the lone clock in the room, and began heading towards the door. Stopping for a moment to look back at his son, offering a smile.

"And who knows, we may be reunited sooner than you think." his father said, and disappeared out of the room leaving Keiru alone to ponder about the last statement.

Time passed, and Keiru and Amelia were reunited on the platform where the train was waiting for them, ready to take them to the Capitol. Keiru glanced at Amelia, who looked up at him and smiled, his features softening as he smiled in response. Soon, the two of them were on the train, met with a man in his thirties.

"Greetings, my name is Richard, and I shall be your mentor during these tough times. When you train with all the other Tributes, make sure that you do not reveal your skill. So, if you happened to be an expert at archery, do not go and show everybody this. You can still go to archery, but do not reveal how skilled you are with said archery. You understand?" the man asked, to which Keiru and Amelia nodded in response.

Richard offered a smile to the siblings, Amelia genuinely smiling back at him, whilst Keiru faked a smile, deep in thought as he thought things over. "So, what are we to expect in the Games, Richard?"

"I have a tape of the other Reapings for you to view, hang on, let me just get everything ready." Richard responded, and began fumbling with a bag, pulling out a tape and placing it into a nearby slot that was there for the tape.

Several moments passed, before the screen flickered to life. Keiru leaned back, watching the various tributes without much interest, but he leaned forward upon seeing the District Two female tribute on the tape, an eyebrow raising. Richard looked back at Keiru, pausing the tape. "What is it Keiru?"

"She seems so out of place... and it appears, if for a few brief moments, that they were reluctant to actually allow her into the Games, though it could pass off as dramatic pausing for those watching, there was definitely hesitation." Keiru explained.

"You're quite observant. If I may?" Richard spoke up, and Keiru nodded in response.

Keiru leaned back once more, losing interest at District Three, but his interest peaked at the Male Tribute of District Four, who was the spitting image of the Male Tribute from District Three. "The Male Tributes of Districts Three and Four are twins."

Richard nodded as he continued to look at the tape, watching each Reaping with interest. Amelia was also leaning forward, examining the other tributes with much interest, though this was due to her nervousness, and she almost jumped when Keiru's hand gripped her shoulder in a comforting gesture, and Amelia smiled up at Keiru, before turning her attention back to the tape.

Keiru's attention snapped back to the tape, and he leaned forward with much interest, looking at the face of the female tribute from District Seven. A small smile rose on his face as he studied the features of the girl. Amelia glanced up at her brother, and smirked, nudging him, bringing his attention back to her as a blush rose up on his face.

"Hey, she's quite a looker isn't she?" Amelia whispered, and Keiru's blush increased as he looked away, looking down at the floor, causing Amelia to giggle quietly, before she looked back at the screen.

A gasp escaped Amelia's mouth at the volunteer from District Nine, as she realized it was a young teen, several years her junior. She couldn't comprehend why somebody at the boy's age would willingly volunteer to enter the Games. Keiru meanwhile, was completely zoned out of watching the tape, deep in thought over the girl from District Seven. He wondered if he could kill her, before struggling to prevent himself from laughing.

Of course he could kill her, she was merely a girl with a pretty face. Nothing more. He didn't even know her personally. Though he would relish in saving her for last. He would ensure he was the one to kill her, and not let anyone else do so. Keiru turned his attention back to the screen upon hearing the names of the District Twelve tributes. He smirked as he came to a conclusion as to who exactly they were. Children of the famous Katniss
and Peeta, the Star Crossed Lovers. He couldn't wait to kill them.

Christian Wright,District Nine
On Tribute Train

Christian sighed as he watched the tape showing the other tributes. He was able to conclude that it would be very dangerous to convince the members of District One. The male was certainly a psychopath, but the girl, the man's sister, seemed sane.

If I could convince her... he would surely follow Christian pondered, as the tape continued.

Christian smirked when he noticed the male tributes from Districts Three and Four were twins, which meant they would most likely team up, and obviously they wouldn't be able to kill one another. Especially if they were close. If it came down to it, it was obvious who would die if they and their partners were the last ones remaining. Christian nodded to himself as he thought things through, glancing over at his partner, who squirmed nervously in her seat, and he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and offered her a smile.

"We'll win this. I have a plan." Christian whispered, before turning his attention back to the screen.

None of the other tributes really drew his attention, besides the tributes from District Twelve. They were children of Peeta and Katniss, who were well known for many things from the 74th Hunger Games. They would obviously be targeted by the other tributes, so he could try and make an alliance with them. He shook his head. It would just make him a target too. Something he didn't want. Christian stood up, looking back at the man seated across from him, and nodded at him.

"I'm going to go relax." Christian said, as he walked off.

He knew he was going to have to kill in the arena, and he was shifting through the tributes in his head, trying to decide on which one. The girl from District Seven would be the easiest target, and he smiled as he slumped down on a couch, staring up at the ceiling. When the Games started, he'd go straight in for the kill.

Brandon Lockhart, District Ten
On Tribute Train

"Brandon, are you even paying attention to the tape?" the woman across from him asked, drawing his attention.

"Psychopath and sister, District One. Twins, Districts Three and Four. Mellarks, District Twelve." Brandon listed, before looking away.

The woman shook her head, turning to talk to the girl that was the other tribute of District Ten. Brandon was lost in his thoughts over the male from District One. He was most certainly a threat. He looked strong, he had a sister who he instantly moved to protect when she had been called up as tribute, and he was a psychopath. He was going to be a hazard within the arena. He wouldn't be able to make an alliance with the man, since he was obviously insane, and would be a liability. This left him with only one option, which was to kill the man. How he would do this was still up for speculation, but he was going to make the man from District One his first target.
