Ooh! On the topic of naming, I sometimes give characters pun names or names in other languages. One of my people characters, Alice Card, is first-named after a cat I had. Her last name is punnish - she's a very wild individual, and she's rather unpredictable, hence 'wild card'. Thom Otone's first name was stolen from a minor character in the Hunger Games series, and his last name is a play on 'otoņo', the Spanish word for autumn. A Growlithe character I have, Dante, is named after Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo.
I really need to get back into this series. If I get distracted from it at all, I forget my place and end up having to read everything over again.
