I've read the manga, have yet to hunt down the anime. Very awesome series, but very short, twisted, and sad. I really liked Mami, and am fairly mad about her situation, but oh well. Her shimeji is always running around my screen and looking adorable, but I'm kinda sad I can't find .zip files for everyone else.

...Actually, randomly looking at shimeji is how I discovered the manga, never would have heard of it if I hadn't found that Mami shimeji. :)
