Was this really the end? Alexander’s forces started to retreat, heading back wherever they came from. Amy’s powerful blasts seemed to have scared fended them off, at least for now.

It was obvious the school had suffered a major blow. The courtyard was wrecked, building severely destroyed and countless bodies scattered among destruction. At this point, it barely mattered what side they’d been fighting for, some would never see another dawn. It was a cruel reminder how easily people were capable of taking lives.

Thankfully though, the opposing regime fled before everything and body was annihilated. Some of the students picked themselves back up, clothes torn, egos bruised, but none the less, still alive. They were among the lucky. Nalani, however, didn’t feel so fortunate. Guilt tore her; she should have been able to avoid that fight. Maybe then, she would have been able to save Kiseki a lot of pain and torment.

By now, two of the med students managed to take away the polls embedded in her friend and Mr. Smith. They then started on the patch work, although it was obvious they would probably require more attention. Hopefully, the hospital wing, as Nalani called it, was still intact, or at least, not completely destroyed.

She started to feel sore, the adrenaline starting to disappear as cold hard reality set in. However, the ash blonde continued to ignore it, there was people far worse off than herself.

Ichiru returned, having left earlier, assumingly, to check up on some of the others. The siblings talked a little, although, even with a lack of loud noises, she didn’t managed to pick up everything they said.

“H-hey,” Nalani finally spoke, approaching the trio, although, she couldn’t really move too quickly anymore.
