TP#13

Haji stepped up next to Dual, and the taller Pokémon gave a nod to Ivy's purple cat. Then, the Fighting type's arms came up, surrounded by jagged rocks that rose with the motion. Ivy watched Haji concentrate, and then Dual jerked into the air as the Espeon let out a flux of energy she could feel through her every nerve. Then, with another burst of energy, Dual was shot toward Charmeleon. Hopefully the added momentum would increase the force of the Gallade's attack and get the Fire type out of their way.

Then the lizard bust into flames and charged at Dual, sending them on a crash course into each other. Dual looked a little hurt, but the Charmeleon was staggering back from the impact, so he had suffered more. What was worse was that the lizard looked like it was being damaged from its own ability due to the sun. They could use that against him if they had to. Haji knew how to manipulate the sun too.

Ivy had just wondered where the Heatmor was when slender claws broke from the ground under Haji, dragging him down with it.

“Haji!” Ivy immediately yelled, taking a few steps in his direction. A bout of dizziness had her stopping and clutching her head with one hand though as she lowered to her knees with shaky breath. She scanned the field but there was no sign of the purple feline. She tried not to panic as she reached out to him with her senses, needing to find him as soon as possible.

“I am alright,” he said at her first notion of worry, calm and collected like he always was. “He is moving fast but is not vicious.”

Ivy breathed a sigh of relief, digging one of her hands into the dirt beneath her. “Okay, we need to get you out of there.” She knew that Haji didn't like to get up close and personal when he battled, and the cat wasn't really suited for battling underground and in close proximity. Then she had an idea.

“Haji, I need you to try and use your Psychic to pull the both of you out of the ground and back to the surface. If Heatmor gets a chance to hurt you down there, it won't be pretty. We might be able to get Dual to help you.” She wasn't sure if Haji could do it alone, so she had to hope that Dual would help them. The Gallade's special powers weren't too great, but if they pooled them together, it should be enough.

“Chainy! Dual! Please help me,” she called with a shaky voice.

Her head was swirling and her was breathing ragged. Haji wasn't her first Pokémon, but he was the one she spent the most time with these days. She wasn't going to lose him. While battles weren't usually too dangerous or fatal, she had heard of enough accidents for her to worry.

“Remember when we first met?” she asked him. “I won't leave you there.” Now she just had to hope this would work out.
