Ash is obtaining Pokemon pretty fast. Just like the days of Kanto, attempting to catch any Pokemon in sight.

Also, notice a coincidence in the Fire type starters? They are subject to torture or traumatized/abandoned by their own trainers. With obviously, the only exception of Johto and Hoenn. In Kanto, Damian left behind his Charmander. In Sinnoh, Chimchar was abandoned by Paul, and now, Tepig being discarded from an anonymous trainer (who somehow I have a feeling is Trip).

I feel bad for them.
