I had to admire Rowan’s determination, and Allin’s as well. The Swampert didn’t hesitate when ordered to pursue Gliscor and try to bring it down. Spraying water over the ground again, the mudfish dashed after the retreating Gliscor, spitting up a weak Water Gun at it. The small blast of water spiraled through the air and struck Gliscor’s tail, momentarily knocking him off-balance. Screeching, the bat-scorpion flapped its wings to try and level itself out, and this gave Allin time to catch up.

As a Protect shield snapped to life in front of her, Allin jumped, shot an arm through the shield and made a swipe at Gliscor’s tail. She missed, but her leap had enough momentum to carry her forward and ram her into the other Pokemon. Gliscor squealed in surprise and pain as it was knocked into a wall and sent tumbling unceremoniously to the ground.

At that moment, Rowan’s Hyper Ball came flying over Allin’s head, hitting Gliscor’s left pincer and popping open to suck it inside once again. The sphere then clicked shut and once more started to wiggle, much weaker than last time. In fact, it only shook twice before falling still, signaling that Gliscor was captured. I smiled a little and nodded at the Ball, then looked over at Rowan.

“That was close, though to be honest I don’t know if it would have had the strength to keeping fleeing after all that,” I said. “Anyways, congrats.”
