None really, he's just a skilled trainer, and a nature hardened survivor.
Considerably reserved and introverted towards others other than himself and his pokemon, he reveals little of himself to only a few people, only saying anything of his issues, and personal endeavors to those he holds in the highest of trust. In hiding his inner most thoughts and beliefs, he is also an inquisitive type, prone to working others into revealing what they know. Deeper into his persona, he has a hard manner in judging himself on the basis of his shortcomings. He does what he can to help those that need it, and is subject to bouts of depression when such attempts fail meet with failure. So one might say that he is hard caring type of individual.
In the run of the war unfolding around the Pokemon world, he takes up an Aggressive pacifist role. He believes that all sides in the war are acting foolishly, and has taken up arms against them, and with any of the trainers that support his endeavors.
(I request to leave this open for development in the In Character)

Weapons if Any:
Selene Linnet (Lihn-ay)
Mercenary/Assassin/Bounty Hunter; she works for whoever pays her the most money to do a job. Pokemon Trainer.
Like any assassin/bounty hunter, Selene is driven mainly by her desire for monetary gains, and is largely materialistic. She lavishes in material gains, and tends to spend her money from her line of work on extravagance. In the line of work, other people, in her opinion, just get in the way of the task at hand. Yet she holds herself to a code: In the assassination of a trainer, no Pokemon are to be harmed in any way. She relishes the thrill of the hunt above all other pleasures, even, to an extent, money, and extravagance.
Selene was born in the Kanto settlement of Fuchsia city. But her mother met with her death at her birth, leaving her in the hands of her father, who had been stricken with grief at the death of his wife. Too heartbroken to desire to continue his life alone, and perhaps unwilling to raise his daughter alone, he left her in the care of the ninja clan at Fuchsia City's gym. A man by the name of Seru took up the task of raising the girl. He had tried to raise her to believe in the virtuous ways of the ninjas, but he met with failure, as she seemed to have developed into a character similar to her birth father, somewhat selfish, and driven by her own desires. Yet to her credit, she excelled in her combat training, specifically in the art of invisibility.
When the signs of war began to show themselves in the world of Pokemon, Selene departed from the gym, despite Seru's orders to her. Her reason was that there was simply too much for a ninja to gain from war. Both her skill in combat, and in her own material gains. She has placed herself on loan as a mercenary for any side that pays for her services. As such, she stands to shift sides almost constantly in the coming wars.
Espeon (Omoi) - Speaks with her telepathically (as with Genesis and Glyde).
Weapons if Any:
(The blade is collapsible for carrying.
Selene is secretly superstitious, and carries around a deck of tarot fortune telling cards upon her person at all times.
