[Dog of Hellsing]

"Togekiss, use Counter!" Bob ordered. The command came so quickly and unexpectedly that Togekiss was momentarily startled by it. By the time she started getting ready for the move, Absol had landed beside her and whipped its head around. There came a loud screech of pain; apparently, Absol managed to get in a good bite. The next moment there came a shocked yelp, and Absol was tossed about a foot into the air. It crashed down on its back with a loud snarl and quickly scrambled to its paws, head shaking back and forth in an effort to clear it. It seemed Togekiss managed to Counter some of Absol's attack after all.

Togekiss' next order was a Double Team. The dove burst from the grass with powerful beats of her large wings, glowing a soft white hue as she rose into the air. Then, quite suddenly, several other Togekiss phazed into being. In total there were eight of the white doves now, though only one was real. Her move had barely been completed before Absol growled and lunged for the nearest figure, scythe whistling through the air. The scythe hit the Togekiss, which dissolved away into nothingness. Absol landed with a huff and whirled around, lowering its head before throwing it back and sniffing at the air. For a long moment it didn’t move, but then it shook itself and stalked forward, heading right for the real Togekiss. As it strode forward, a sort of lime-green energy coalesced around the Pokemon’s scythe.

Then, Absol titled its head back and dropped close to the ground, then hurtled into the air as it swung its head down with a powerful heave. My jaws dropped open as I regconized the attack: Megahorn!

“Bob, this Absol knows an Egg Move!” I told the Trainer. “If it knows Megahorn, then it might know other Egg Moves as well, so be careful!”
