Far Away
Distance should make no difference
When it comes to feelings.
It’s a simple barrier.
And barriers can be overcome.
Distance can’t stop feelings
From being formed,
Nor stop them from growing.
Far away, but still so close.
We don’t choose for this to happen,
It just does.
The heart senses only people,
Not what’s between them.
By foot, car, train or plane,
It’s all possible.
I’ll be there by your side,
Even if it takes me the rest of my life.
I’ll be around someday,
So don’t stop waiting.
I’ll find a way,
No matter the cost…
I promise.
