Jonathyn, having already been inside the building, (in his room), stepped out of the elevator, now on the first floor. Almost immediately, the smell of pancakes greeted his nose.

That, however, wasn't what got him to venture into the kitchen. He'd spotted Ash looking at the map on the wall as he'd stepped out. By now, he'd gone into the kitchen as well.

Unable to think of anything else to do, Jonathyn entered the resturaunt, spotting Ash and Pikachu almost immediately after.

A small chuckle escaping him at the side of his son's (that STILL sounds weird o.O) Pikachu, he said, "Long time no see, huh?"
